Fees after the first consultation (hourly billing)

Work you request after the consultation may be billed by the hour

Much of the work you may request after the first consultation, such as preparing returns or handling procedures, is billed by the hour. Because the amount of work cannot be fixed in advance, we cannot guarantee a total fee beforehand. We will explain an estimate during the consultation. You will be asked to agree to this notice when you apply.

Frequently asked questions

What happens in the first consultation?

We listen to your situation and explain the direction, the procedures needed afterwards and an estimated cost. Work such as preparing returns is requested separately after the consultation.

I live outside Japan. Can I apply?

How do I pay?

Use the link in the email we send after you apply to pay by credit card or bank transfer. The payment deadline (23:59 JST) is stated in that email. Bank transfer fees are borne by you.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

There is no charge for cancelling before you pay (if you do not pay after we send the payment instructions, your application becomes invalid automatically after the payment deadline). Once your payment is complete, we do not accept cancellations or give refunds for your own reasons. If you have special circumstances, contact our office by phone or email. After booking, we accept schedule changes by phone. If we cannot hold the consultation for reasons on our side, we refund the full amount and also pay the refund transfer fee (the phone number and hours are shown at the top and bottom of this page).

Will I receive a receipt?

Yes. When payment is complete, our payment provider (Stripe) emails you a receipt showing our office name, our qualified invoice issuer registration number and, for residents of Japan, the consumption tax amount.
